Why FidesBeacon exists
Most AI legal-tech tools are built by software engineers who have never sat through a deposition. FidesBeacon is built by the opposite kind of person: a named inventor on more than 11 U.S. patents who has spent approximately 30 years as a plaintiff in complex federal patent enforcement litigation against major-defendant adversaries — learning the discipline from the inside before building the tool.
The founder, M. David Hoyle, is a named inventor on more than 11 U.S. patents and has spent approximately 30 years as a plaintiff in complex federal patent enforcement litigation against major-defendant adversaries. The methodological choices that define FidesBeacon — citation verification on every fact, two-AI adversarial review on trial-grade deliverables, attorney sign-off on every report — are not theoretical. They are the answers to the kinds of attacks a sophisticated defendant's litigation team will mount on any vendor-produced analysis.
M. David Hoyle — Founder, Inventor
M. David Hoyle is the founder of Webnet Media and a named inventor on more than 11 U.S. patents. He has spent approximately 30 years in federal patent enforcement litigation, with matters in the District of Delaware, the Western District of Tennessee, and before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board. The work spans the full federal patent-enforcement life cycle: discovery production management, inter partes review, Markman claim construction, summary judgment briefing, Daubert challenges to expert witnesses, trial preparation, and federal appellate practice.
That first-hand involvement is the source of the operational discipline FidesBeacon brings to every matter it touches. The product was designed to give other litigants the analytical leverage that comes from working through complex, large-document cases with that level of attention.
The Webnet Media family
FidesBeacon is a venture of Webnet Media, a Florida-and-Romania incorporated corporate group. The Webnet Media family currently operates three product lines, with FidesBeacon as the litigation-intelligence flagship.
FidesBeacon
The litigation-intelligence platform: FidesBeacon Engine (analysis core) and FidesBeacon Reports (tiered output layer). The flagship and the focus of this site.
Webnet Air
The narrative transformation layer. Converts FidesBeacon analytical output into client-facing, board-ready, or investor-ready narratives. Operates downstream of the Reports layer.
Webnet Marketing
The amplification and distribution layer. Translates Webnet Air narratives into marketing assets, press materials, and investor communications. Operated by the firm's Director of Marketing.
Corporate structure
Webnet Media is incorporated in the State of Florida (United States) and the Republic of Romania. The Florida entity holds U.S.-facing operations including FidesBeacon. The Romania entity holds development infrastructure and the dedicated hardware on which client analyses run. Both entities are bound by the firm's data-handling and confidentiality policies, detailed on the Confidentiality page.
The Webnet Media corporate group is privately held.
What FidesBeacon is not
- Not a law firm. FidesBeacon is a litigation-intelligence vendor. Our deliverables are analytical input to a licensed attorney's strategic judgment. We do not represent parties in litigation.
- Not a legal-research database. We do not compete with Westlaw, Lexis, or Bloomberg Law. We work alongside them on the document side of the matter, where they do not operate.
- Not a discovery-review platform. We do not compete with Relativity, Logikcull, or Everlaw. We work downstream of those platforms on the analytical layer, taking the document set they produce as our input.
- Not a general-purpose AI tool. We do not compete with ChatGPT, Claude.ai, or Gemini. The methodological commitments described on the Methodology page — citation verification, adversarial review, attorney sign-off, QC log — are what separate vendor-grade litigation intelligence from consumer-grade chat output.
